Fleas are "Off the Hook" this season!

Is it just us or does anyone else think fleas have just exploded in the last few months?
 
On one day, I calculated around 70% of all dogs and cats coming in had fleas. This is definitely higher than normal. For any pet-related business, but certainly for a small establishment like ours, this presents challenges to keeping the store "flea free", and ensuring any dogs or cats coming in WITHOUT fleas don't go home WITH fleas.
 
We take a multi-pronged approach to these evil critters (and they ARE evil).

Welcome to the Best In Show Grooming Salon blog...going forward, I'll refer to our name as "Best In Show". Call me lazy, but theshortened version is easier to say and write.
 
So, why am I starting this blog and what do I want to accomplish with it?  As a small business owner, I've been struggling with ways to connect with my customers through the internet. We have a website, a Google Places page, Twitter, Facebook, etc., however, none of these have been tremendously effective ways to communicate and interact with our clients.
